As The SHIFT-IT Coach I regularly read, watch and study things that are of interest to my clients and myself. Take for instance this webinar series that the Psychotherapy Networker is doing with several star therapists on the topic of The Changing Face of Marriage.
I heard about this series via Terry Real’s newsletter. I’ve studied Terry for years now and really appreciate his direct style and how he is an educator and coach to his clients (if they knew how to do better they would … so he often shows/teaches his clients how to interact in healthier ways).
This topic is such an interesting one … as a sea change has happened between when my parents (now in their 70s) came of age and when I did (I’m in my mid 40s now). And the change in how people are marrying and what they expect from their marriages continues to morph, shift and change on us all. Of particular interest are how Millennials (the 30 and younger crowd) are handling relationships (many putting them off because of finances and also fears to repeat the mistakes of their own parents whom often divorced, perhaps several times). Really interesting stuff!
