Had a blast at the International Forum of Visual Practitioners Conference held this past weekend in Santa Fe, New Mexico. I’ve blogged about this event repeatedly prior to it being held, so won’t go into the overall details again (especially as its almost 3am!).
The event wrapped up at noon today. Sixty two of us gathered at the fantastic Bishop’s Resort hideaway. I will blog in more details, once I’ve had a bit more time to process. In a nutshell, I totally enjoying see old friends and colleagues and meeting new ones. And loved showcasing and demoing my SHIFT-IT work with ‘my tribe’. And seeing what others are doing in graphic recording, graphic faciliation, community work and in integrating technology into what we do. The organizers (all volunteers!) are to be commended for the choice of location and all of the so well thought out logistics and details. Next years’ theme is ‘Be Big’ and it will be held in Chicago. There is talk of the following year (2009) being in either Seattle or my home town (Victoria B.C.).
Here are a few photos for now. I’ve also created a Flickr slideshow for those who care to see more.
