Post IFVP Road Trip

Been taking a few days after the wonderful Int’l Forum of Visual Practitioners Conference to drive back up to Victoria.  Have a few clients and contacts to see along the way … not the least of which is stopping off in Boise to pick up a new horde of Abraham-Hicks workshop recordings.  As I’ve written of in other posts, I’m fascinated and pretty well addicted to The Abraham Teachings on the Law of Attraction. My guy, Jim, has the full collection of their materials (17 years worth of Abraham workshops from 1990-2007 so far) … in his storage locker in Boise, Idaho.  Sooooo, we are making a special trip to Boise to pick up the next batch of them for me to listen to (I’m up to 2001 … where they finally get into CD format … I’ve been carrying around a very ‘uncool’ walkman since January to listen to the tapes … so am glad to finally move up to carrying a CD player … ahhhh, if only they had them in mp3 download form).

The best thing about a road trip … well, listen to Abraham along the way and talking about it with Jim (we both love the teachings … we actually met on an Abraham cruise!).  And doing our own visioning about what we want to create.  Coming right on the heels of the IFVP conference I’m doing a lot of thinking about my own vision and where I want to take my company – so we are having very exciting talks.

As we listen, we are passing incredibly beautiful territory that is inspiring in its own right.  And are lucking into warm weather and beautiful blue skies.  So i’m having a nice and relaxing time — ready to return to Victoria to lead my Meeting Graphics 101 and The Graphic Bootcamp workshops that are sold out for next week.

Jim is a bit of a maverick – he doesn’t like to follow the rules … and that includes driving off road when he can.  He took a little detour when we were making our way to the Grand Canyon and drove right up to this really deep little canyon on the way.  I admit I was pissed at the time (as a Canadian i am afraid of ‘getting in trouble’ ) but he assured me that if it doesn’t say ‘private property’ or ‘stay out’ it is far game.  But then i mellowed out … and enjoyed the experience of driving feet from a canyon rim.  Below is a shot of Jim in front of his canyon.

After the Grand Canyon, we continued onto Moab, Utah … home of Arches National Park.  Below are a few pictures of the scenary along the way.  I love having an internet based business as it allows me to travel and to run things at the same time.  Right now, we are in Nevada … at a casino (Jim likes to gamble … thankfully he is good at it – he just won $700 bucks!  … but me, I’m no good at it … too many money blocks and beliefs in the way … i like to focus my efforts on business and hard work to make money – currently that is the only way I can let it in).  So I’m right now in the restaurant in a booth, working away on this blog post to you.  Chicken wings and a corona beer at my side.  So we both get to do what we like.  Amazing what modern technology nows allows one to do.

Here are the Moab shots … I’ll write again in a few days as I post some more post-IFVP thoughts.
