A Note From Christina

We’re right smack in the middle of the Fundamentals of Interactive-Graphics workshop. Twenty folks from across North America gathered here in beautiful Victoria, British Columbia for invaluable professional skills training.

Thursday was focused on the four main definitions of visual way of working (custom chart work, graphic recording, graphic facilitation and graphic coaching), materials, paper hanging, basic drawing and formatting — and ended with graphic recording drills. Friday we covered graphic facilitation and the use of templates (including making your own designs) and today is graphic coaching, biz development and marketing.

I’ve worked in all four areas of the visual work over the course of my 17 year career … with my primary focus now on graphic coaching (ala my SHIFT-IT Process ®) — and getting the fundamental visual skills into practitioners like the ones gathered here today.

It’s so fun to show people how easy and powerful the visual work can be and how even adding basic shapes, colors and formats can up the wattage of their consulting, facilitation and coaching practices.

Given the Fundamentals of Interactive-Graphics workshop, I had to write my article for this issue in advance. Last weekend I had a great experience during a golf lesson – that I’ve chosen to share … more along the Law of Attraction side of my interests than interactive-graphics. Our internal mindset is not only key on the golf course but it’s also key to manifesting authentic and aligned work and life too. So give a read to how my golf instructors are Law of Attraction aficionados and how you can be too.
