The Journey with Abraham-Hicks Continues

I’ve had a very mellow Xmas and New Year’s break – I needed it as I had a really go, go, go fall season.

So it’s been nice to stay close to home and just decompress a little.  Been sleeping in.  Going to bed early.  Catching up on videos (oh my gawd season 4 of LOST was good!), and just regrouping after a busy 2008 – my best business year to date.

A constant in the background of this year has been me continuing to work my way through the full collection of Abraham-Hicks workshop tapes/CDs. A colleague turned me onto their material in 2000.  And I had listened and read them for several years.

Then, on a Hawaii Abraham cruise two years ago, I met a man named Jim who had the full collection of their work.

Thanks to him (and my rocket of desire to soak up as much of their material as I could) I’ve had the opportunity to start back at the very beginning of their work (circa 1994) and listen all the way through to the present time.  Its been quite a journey!

I won’t go into the whole story of who/what Abraham is … for that you can look up old posts (go to Law of Attraction category in this blog) and go to Jerry and Esther Hick’s site – they have a ton of great information that you can access there, including mp3 downloads and videos.

However, since it is a brand new year … I did want to spend some time writing about a powerful concept that Abraham has been sharing for the last few years – called “Tell a New Story”.

As a visioning and planning strategist (that is what my SHIFT-IT Coach work is all about) – its my job to get people off of their past and present and onto their future – a good feeling future that is.  Helping them figure out how to create and Become Their Next Self.

Abraham’s ‘Tell a New Story’ is SO potent.  It says in a nutshell what we need to do if we want to create something different from what we already have.  We need to get off of the old story and onto the new.  And onto BETTER FEELINGS … so we can change our vibration and become a vibrational match to what we truly desire.

With the new year fresh upon us … and with the transitional times we are currently going thru … its really powerful and important to turn our minds to what we do want (and away from what we don’t).  We are all part of the collective human mind and feeling state.  So what we individually focus on, not only effects our own lives, but can effect the trajectory of society and our planet overall.  By choosing to focus your mind and attention on things that feel good, you not only help yourself, but you help all of us.

So, what story are you telling?  Hopefully a good feeling one.  If not, you might want to spend some time deliberately focusing on one that does make you feel good.  Pollyanna? Silly?  Wishful Thinking?  I think not.  More like progressive, cutting edge, cool and fun.

At this time of the New Year … what is the New Story you want to tell for 2009?  Poke around and find what feels good to you.  Go as  specific as it still feels good (or, said the other way … if you go into too much detail and your doubt begins to interfere, then make it more generalized so you maintain your good feeling).

By way of example, I’ll share my New Story for 2009.  To encourage you to try the same thing.  Everyone is unique.  So don’t let what i write influence you, as we may have very different tastes and desires.  The important thing is to find what feels good to you and to focus on it. Its not so much the words, things, etc that we focus on anyway – as it is the warm, nice, uplifting feelings that our precision focusing stirs up in us.  Come across something that doesn’t feel good, then cross it out and poke around again until you find something that does feel good to you.

MY ‘TELL A NEW STORY’ FOR 2009:

  • The world has an amazing transitional year
  • Big industries, organizations and fields go through changes which results in things being much better, more efficient and more caring about people, the planet, etc
  • Obama and the Americans go through an amazing year (which of course impacts all of us).  They get changes in place which are for the better overall and start changing the ways things have been done.  Get things back onto a better track.  The world comes together in interesting ways and collaborates much better.
  • The auto industry is revolutionized because of changes taking place this year.  It goes more green and environmental.  2008 and 2009 are looked back on as being pivitol years that changed things for the better.  Future generations read about how this historical shift happened and see how crisis actually contained massive opportunity.
  • Business was also changed for the better in these pivitol years. Proper overviews were put in place and the new global banking and money systems began to right themselves … learning to work more cooperatively and healthily together.  The contrast led to great rockets of desire which ultimately benefited people from around the globe.  It all worked out much better overall due to the problems that popped up.
  • The interest and surge in environmental issues continues.  More and more individuals, companies and countries go green.  Huge new industries are born.  Alternative energy sources.  Booming environmental friendly technologies and products.  Infrastructure projects. etc.  Its a great thing to see and witness. History in the making.  Future generations view this as the shift time.  When we got our act together.
  • More people are turned onto Law of Attraction and other meta-physical teachings.  It continues to enter the mainstream in surprizing ways.  The appetite for this kind of awareness and dialogue grows.  Wonderful conversations, blogs, products, experiences and community occur.
  • My own life and business continue to unfold beautifully.  LOA brings folks who are a vibrational match to what i am about and I marvel at the ways we connect.  I continue to write and work with people.  Host more groups and masterminds.  Integrate this way of being more and more into my life.  2009 is a fabulous year which brings many wonderful experiences with it.  I look fondly back on it and all the things that happened during the year and the springboard that it was for 2010 and beyond.

I could keep going but I think you get the point.  Write about what FEELS GOOD.  Get your energy running.  You should feel a shift in your heart when you write.  A warming up if you will.  Each person is different.  Find what feels good to you.  Just grab a paper and write … or write a list in the comments section and share your own ‘Tell a New Story’ with other readers here on the blog.  Good to get some diversity going instead of just what i write!

All the best to you in 2009.  May you continue to Tell Your New Story and run your energy in a good feeling way!
