Thankfully I don’t travel quite as much as I used to (as my practice is shifting more to phone work or people flying to Victoria to work with me in my studio). Throughout my career I have had some real highs and some real lows in terms of destinations and accommocations. Early on, when I was doing mostly graphic recording work, I’d be lucky to be home a full week out of the month. Talk about accumulating air miles.
Recently I did make a trip and was put up in one of the nicest locations I have ever experienced. The Prince Hotel in Honolulu right at the beginning of Waikiki Beach. Take a look at the view at sunset out of my hotel room. The palm tree laden park and marina right below my hotel. The weather cooperated my first day there so I went there for a swim in the afternoon. Lovely! Quite a contrast from fall settling in back home in British Columbia.
