Morning walk with the Odd Couple has been accomplished …
Many of you are aware of JJ my teeny tiny Yorkie. He’s been my buddy for going on 7 years now. His Yorkie ears often make an appearance on my online class videos given he sleeps on my lap as I’m working at the computer.
The bigger character above is my parent’s dog Riley. Riley is a handful. My nickname for him is Wiley Riley … cause he’s a very smart and wily dog. He is a Rescue dog who was returned twice before he landed with my folks. Who spoil him and never got around to really training him. He has them trained, haha. Not unlike JJ with me.
The said folks are travelling on a trip to Paris and a Mediterranean cruise. I volunteered to take Riley. He’s the boss outside. JJ is the boss inside. They are totally the Odd Couple. People laugh when they see them together. I’m definitely getting more exercise with Riley around. Although JJ and his little feet can actually cover a lot of terrain too. I have to lift him up for the big rocks, but other than that is he very self sufficient. And knows to freeze when Riley comes bounded down the path a 100 miles an hour. Riley’s running ability is a marvel. He’s like a horse. Fast!
The dogs keep me grounded. And the nature gives a good balance to all the online, digital, computer work I now do. Keeps me from glowing in the dark. At least I hope it does.
