This just in from my client Lynette … in response to Friday’s ezine about Law of Attraction exercises for attracting a life partner. What an amazing story – thanks to Melanie and Carl for their openness in sharing their beautiful experience!
Hi Christina, I have a story to share with you from my daughter and her husband (they were married on December 20)
With Love, Lynette McCormack
Ace of Diamonds
A few years ago, while living in New Mexico, I became completely disenchanted with dating and decided it was time to get clear about the kind of man I wanted to marry. I decided to set my intention using an Ace of Diamonds card.
I stared at the card in my hands and, after getting really clear, began to make a mental and heart centered list of all the qualities I wanted my mate to possess. After I finished with the long list, I placed the card between my palms and said a prayer of praise and thanksgiving. I remember looking up into the night sky and thinking that my mate was looking up into the same starry night. I knew in my heart this man I wanted existed and now it would only be a matter of time.
After that night, I carried the card in my wallet and every time I opened my wallet I gave thanks for my “Ace of Diamonds” and smiled in my heart knowing we would soon meet.
About 7 months later I moved to Wisconsin. Not long after, a family friend heard me talking about my deep love and adoration of trees, and she said, “I have a man I want you to meet. I have a feeling about the two of you.”
Several days later Carl and I were introduced at the local bar. I loved how he walked in with a huge smile on his face. It seemed like everyone turned around and yelled his name and got up to give him hugs. We ordered drinks together and, not wanting to assume he’d pay, I pulled out my wallet. Carl spotted my card and asked, “You carry an Ace of Diamonds too?”
He reached in his back pocket, went through a stack of business cards and presented a well weathered Ace of Diamonds card. He asked me “What does it mean?” So I explained to him it was a card I had made a sort of wish on. I was in such a state of shock, I actually thought for a moment it might be a joke, but he told me his story.
In the fall of 2005 I was walking to my car at the end of a long day of tree trimming, when I noticed a playing card laying face down near my car door. Out of curiosity I picked up the card. It was an Ace of Diamonds. I believe in good-luck charms and an Ace of Diamonds placed in my path by the wind had to be one. So I carried it with me, in my pocket, every day.
When I met Melanie on March 10th, 2006 it was love at first sight. Her beautiful smile and vibrant personality swept me right off my feet. When I saw Melanie also carried an Ace of Diamonds card, I knew this card was more than good luck—it was destiny and a perfect match and Melanie my perfect partner in life.
Now, almost 3 years later we are totally in love and feel completely blessed to have each other. We are so excited to be getting married and starting our own family. We are still in awe of our “Ace of Diamonds” experience and continue to give thanks for the multitude of blessings that fill our lives. Thank you for sharing this day with us.
With Expanding Gratitude & Love,
Melanie and Carl
PS I’ve attached a photo from Melanie and Carl’s reception … and yes, the cards on the table are the actual Ace of Diamonds in the story!
P.S. I have recently started following the author Arielle Ford on Twitter (social networking forum that I’m bordering on being addicted to – wink). Arielle just released a book called The Soulmate Secret (all about Law of Attraction and relationships). It struck such a chord (I had just written my article on LOA and life partner – see below) … that I went out and bought it immediately. And devoured it that evening and the next morning.
Arielle shares her own alignment and intention rituals and the stories of many, many couples who have found their match. Its an uplifting, informative and enjoyable read – highly recommend it if you are looking for more Law of Attraction based information on relationships.
Arielle definitely needs to know of Melanie and Carl’s story, in case she does part two!
