Private Training Visitor… Cynthia from Virginia

Well, its October so we are thick into training season.  As this is the last year that I’m offering public and private training in the handy, fun and productive skills of graphic recording and graphic facilitation — my schedule is busy, busy, busy with folks getting in while they still can.

Cynthia Miller made the cross continent trek from Virginia, U.S.A.  to get in a couple private training days here in my Victoria, BC home and studio.

We spent two days, one-to-one, developing and refining her lettering, basic shapes and drawing skills. And since she is a facilitator and will primarily be using the skills in highly facilitated kinds of settings – we focused on the explicit differences between recording and graphic facilitation (putting special emphasis on the latter).

Thanks so much for coming Cynthia.  Was a pleasure meeting and working with you.  I look forward to hearing about your successful meshing of these new skills with your facilitation and consulting practice.

Fisherman’s Wharf and Seal:
I’m right on the waterfront, we after lunch we breezed by Fisherman’s Wharf and this fat ol’ seal popped out to say hello.

Back to my studio, we hunkered down as the wind picked up outside… helping Cynthia with her drawing and perspective lines:

Cynthia and her ‘wall o’ icons’… pretty much filled up the whole portable Graphic Wall that I have set up:

A stylin’ woman… look at this gorgeous floral display she brought me.  I didn’t know they had such things in Victoria, but she found it. Thanks so much!

I’m in the midst of developing a new teaching product (since I won’t be doing live workshops for much longer).  Cynthia was the first person outside of my team to view the videos.  Here she’s watching the graphic facilitation demo – really helps you see the differences between graphic recording and graphic facilitation.

Thanks again Cynthia for coming.

I really love teaching these skills in one-to-one, intimate settings like this. It’s a rare opportunity for you to have direct and custom access to a graphic facilitation pro (and it works out great for me because I can work from my home… something I adore after 14 years on the road!).  We work in my very nice waterfront place… so it’s a mini retreat as well as skills development training that you can write off.

I have just a few days left in my fall schedule for these kinds of private trainings.  And will be re-structuring and significantly increasing the price in the New Year.

Book now and get the 2008 price… and schedule your training within six months (payment plans available so you can pay your training off in easy monthly installments).
